This 8hr seminar is filled with practical demonstrations and hands-on time to maximise the potential of your team and gear. Some of the skills covered are:
- Intro to Sound, Active Listening – How we hear, the link between our eyes and ears and and how to use those links in a real world ‘mix.
- Getting Ready to Mix – An incredibly simple yet highly effective way to set up the console ready for the mix! We teach you how to confidently get both the Front Of House and Monitors up quickly, easily and give you a great starting point for your mixes.
- What Am I Hearing? & Practical Equalisation – Eq, the secret of getting a good mix. Learn to eq confidently to tonally balance your mix with hands on exercises.
- PA Components & Soundchecks – We take you through the components of your PA system and look at patching, mic selection and more. We work through the flow of the soundcheck, rehearsal and show runs, creating a time effective approach to ensure both the production team and the musicians get the most out of their rehearsal times.
- Putting It All Together – We run a real world soundcheck, putting into practice all we’ve learnt from the day.
The day is filled with very practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises and aims to maximise practical time, to encourage people to get familiar with setting up for a mix as well as becoming confident with eq.
We also leave you with an audio kit (valued at $250) that enables you to keep working through practical exercises in both mixing and equalisation techniques.
