SYNK currently offers multiple levels of training:
Public Seminars, Training with your team, and a Partnership Program.
Public Seminars
Public seminars are held in various locations and are open to all. They are designed to address specific areas from audio, lighting and video techniques through to the latest technologies and maintenance. SYNK is always renewing our seminars to keep you up to date in the fast changing world of production technology.
Some of the seminars we currently run are:
Getting Started in Audio
Beginners through to intermediate operators will really benefit from this seminar. We take you through the basics of audio and focus on practical techniques for getting the most out of your mixes. Lots of practical demonstrations and group exercises will open your ears to a better approach to sound mixing.
Getting Started on Digital Consoles
Digital or Analogue – that is the question!
This seminar introduces you to the world of digital consoles. We cover everything from plugging the console in, to navigation, mixing techniques and some very practical ‘tips and tricks’. There is plenty of opportunity to get hands-on with the consoles and to talk to real world users.
Getting Started - Maintenance and Fault Finding
Equipment maintenance can be a never ending money pit, yet there are many simple ways to carry out some of your own maintenance and save money. This focus seminar will equip you to be able to carry out some basic maintenance and repairs that could save you thousands of dollars in servicing costs. We take you through basic fault finding techniques and address how best to set up a system to minimise problems in the first place.
Training with your team
Your Team – Your Gear – Your Location
This is a very practical seminar run in your venue, to train your team specifically on your equipment. It takes the relevant portions of the content from the ‘Getting Started in Audio' seminar and both tailors and extends it for your specific system to ensure that your team are both knowledgeable and confident. There is plenty of hands on exercises and practical demonstrations to reinforce the techniques learned. SYNK also provides you with an audio kit to enable you to further your own practise even after the seminar is over. Recommended class size is 6-8 people. Maximum 10 People

Partnership program
Our most intensive option is where we partner with you to work specifically with your team. We custom design a course to meet the goals you set out and journey with your team to move them ahead in practical technical knowledge and team relationship.
We teach everything to enable you to both run your productions week to week as well as planning and executing larger events and occasions. This package also includes a significant web and phone support package for your team to ensure that you have someone with you all the way as you move along the journey and we monitor progress to ensure that every step of the way is a positive one.
