Digital Consoles Seminar
Saturday May 7 at Parramatta saw the most recent Digital Consoles Seminar take place. Pushing buttons and faders, staring intently at the screens and learning to be brave with the technology was the order of the day and with over 50 people attending, it was a busy one. Both sessions were booked out entirely and it was exciting to see such enthusiasm.
Whether a first timer on digital or having dabbled a bit, everybody enjoyed their day, learnt heaps and walked away a whole lot more confident than before.
Lots of people commented that after the first ‘playtime’ where they went from console to console, learning to navigate around, they got really comfortable, no longer feeling that it was all too tricky, involved or difficult to learn.
With the M480 and M400 from Roland, the R72 from Allen and Heath, Si compact from Soundcraft, LS9 from Yamaha, Studio 24.4.2 from Presonus and the bonus of getting the new Midas Venice 32F, there was plenty to play on and learn.
The best part was watching people work it out for themselves, not needing to jump in and guide them through, but seeing them figure it all out and then look pretty proud of themselves when it all worked.
It’s a great day, and we’ll be having another one soon enough, so if you missed out, or you know somebody who should’ve been there, get them to register their interest by contacting us, so we can offer the first seats to people who take the action to put their hands up.
A big thanks to all the suppliers for co-ordinating the gear, LOW for their support of the event, and to Parramatta Baptist for hosting the day.
