about Synk
SYNK is a team of experienced production people from many disciplines within the professional industry, from broadcast to music studios, lighting, multimedia, web design, postproduction and project management, who have come together to resource those interested in learning.
We specialise in areas where there is a large base of volunteers such as in schools, churches and community theatre. Places where people are keen to be involved and contribute to the production of an event but have no real desire to become a technical expert in the field.
SYNK will work alongside your team, developing their technical skills as well as building team dynamics, resulting in a team that is both competent and creative, able to work together towards a common goal.
Technology is moving at a rapid pace and can be intimidating and confusing for those who are new to it all, but it doesn’t have to be. SYNK will move your team ahead very quickly with lots of practical hands on help linked with great support through our website.
We are passionate about developing a strong working relationship with you, and with that aim in mind we have developed a truly world first online model that builds practical skills for your team as well as allowing us to stay connected with you as you progress.
Everything we do is guaranteed to be able to accelerate your skills, creativity and give your team much greater consistency in all your productions, that’s why we are able to say with 100% confidence that partnering with SYNK is the best thing you can do for your team.
Meet the team:
Trevor Beck
Trevor brings a wealth of experience across many facets of production, ranging from large live events through to recording studios, broadcast, corporate, and post-production.
Trevor was technical producer for over 10 years of Hillsong album projects, and has recorded and mixed countless albums for independant churches and artists. He has mixed FOH in venues ranging from Acer Arena and the Sydney Opera House to outdoor events for over 400,000 people. He has mixed for many live television events, corporate presentations as well as post production for limited cinema release projects. Trevor also managed audio replay and timecode engineering for Athens Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and other international events.
Although working on large scale events is fulfilling, Trevors passion is to realise excellence in local production, working with and training up volunteers, particularly in local churches."I believe you will most effectively reach your local community if the church experience is inviting and relevant. It is no longer good enough to expect people to turn up at church when they encounter poorly presented music, preaching and multimedia".
Trevors broad experience brings a unique perspective to the production environment, encouraging teams to truly bring their best to their area of involvement from technical aspects to musical, visual and team dynamics. Trevor breaks technical terms and concepts into easy to understand, and, more importantly, easy to implement approaches - encouraging teams to become more pastorally sensitive to their churches vision and to integrate and align their production values with that vision.
Kevin Watts
Kevin Watts has been involved in both church and large scale event production for over 15 years.
In that time he has been an integral part of building and managing teams and systems for many churches and organisations. He is an extremely competent production manager and has managed events of capacities from hundreds to well over 20,000 at venues such as Acer Arena, Sydney Entertainment Centre, the Horden Pavillion, Sydney Showground, Darling Harbour Convention Centre and many others.
Kevin knows how to put in place practical approaches that give consistency and quality to productions, as well as training individuals to effectively communicate and produce their best as a united team.
Kevin's qualifications in live sound and training coupled with his knowledge and experience bring insight, experience and solutions to our clients, whether beginners or those who are more seasoned in their understanding.
Peter Sneesby

Peter has established a career in television, media and IT spanning 25 years. He is also an accomplished musician, having played with some of Australia's finest artists. This gives Peter a unique perspective - having worked on both sides of the microphone he fully understands the pressures, requirements and realities of production and recording.
For nearly 10 years, Peter has produced LifeSource Television, a programme which airs weekly throughout Australia on the Australian Christian Channel and in Sydney on Channel 31. Peter has a proven track record in training, developing, motivating and inspiring volunteers in the demanding environment of television production.
Peter also has considerable experience as a website developer and content creator for the web.
Peter is passionate about technical excellence, and has the ability to communicate complicated technical concepts in a way that allows non-technical people to "get it".
Trent Dobson
After spending many years working under some of the greats in recording, Trent has emerged as an exciting and innovative producer and engineer. Working with artists both in the studio and on stage Trent strives to be the closest ally a musician can have.
